SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Our engineer/divers have considerable expertise in the recognition of volumetric expansion concrete reactions, including delayed ettringite formation, sulfate attack and alkali-silica reaction. We also provide coordinated services for inspection, sampling, petrographic examination, scanning electron microscopy, and monitoring of concrete deterioration. Numerical modeling of deteriorated elements and analyses of structures for the design loads also offered.

Blaylock Engineering Group field crews have inspected waterfront facilities in the following California Cities: Coronado, San Diego, Carlsbad, Aliso Beach, Seal Beach, Long Beach, San Clemente Is, Malibu, Port Hueneme, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Simeon, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Moffett Field, San Francisco, Vallejo, Ozol, Concord, Lake Tahoe and Clear Lake. Additional U.S. locations include Bangor, WA; Port Hadlock, WA; Everett, WA; New London, CT; Peal Harbor and Kaneohe, HI. World wide locales include Quebec, Canada; Antigua, West Indies; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territories and Okinawa, Japan. The type of structures inspected include; Piers, Bulkheads, Wharfs, Moles, Fender Piles, Haul-out and Boat Ramps, Graving Docks, Dolphins, Bridges, Floats, Breakwaters, Seawalls, Blast Walls, Wave Attenuation Walls, Equipment Supports, Fender Systems, Debris Surveys, Inlet-outlet Structures, Cofferdams, Caissons, Pre-construction, Construction Support and Post-construction Surveys.
INSPECTION TEAMS
Our Inspection team leaders have an average 15 years of inspection experience assisted by two Engineer/Divers. These engineer/divers are responsible for the preparation and review of all written reports.
REPORTS
Findings are typically displayed in report format thru a combination of descriptive text, tables, drawings, cost estimates and photographs. All reports are prepared using the latest engineering software. Reports are often times converted to HTML or FTP format for website use.
